cd deck choices
now i know off the bat most people will automatically say pioneer. but i wanted to know if anyone had any experiences with other brands. i was thiking a sonyb xplod for my first choice and then kenwood, jvc, or alpine. if anybody had any suggestions with these models or model numbers let me kno.

I think only like 2 people in here run pioneer. I personally dont like pioneer.
Sony blows, jvc blowa, kenwood is.. ok
Alpine, clarion, pioneer premier, nakamichi, eclipse...

To the average ear, anything sounds "ok."
I'm sure the audiophiles would agree w/ 93ex tho.
I've personally had experiences w/ pioneer, jvc, alpine, eclipse. The alpine was good, but the eclipse was just >. After the alpine and eclipse decks, I'd NEVER go back to pioneer and jvc again. Totally different sound experiences.

It does depend what product from what company. Alot of the middle line of pioneer only have 2V preouts, but when you go to premier they go up to 4+. Its that way with most companies though.

the pioneer premier decks are nice, Nak decks sound amazing, eclipse sound nice, alpine is ok, ive had bad experiences with clarion, I loved my old kenwood excelon. Hmm see if u can find a Mcintosh deck...i dont even know if they are made anymore...
