speaker install question
i am trying to install new speakers in my scion. the speakers i have are the right size and everything. the problem i am running into is that my stock speakers are mounted in a plastic bracket taht surrounds them and that bracket is riveted to the door. i know how to drill the rivets out and everything like that. i dont know if if i drill out the rivets which hold the bracket in. am i going to have holes there to mount the speakers to. the bracket is bigger than the speaker size. does anyone know if there is going to be holes underneath the bracket? need help as soon as possible. thank you
There's a good chance you can get them in there (you'll more than likely have to drill new holes) otherwise you're probably going to have to either build or buy some universal brackets/spacers. I can't recall doing any Scion speakers off the top of my head, so I'm not sure...your best bet is to just get in there and see what you've got to work with.
