best thing to use IMO is 100% silicone it stays soft forever and won't crack over time like liquid nails does

Like someone above said, come look at my mom's 20 year old cabinets... no cracks and it still won't come apart.

I use liquid nails in between boards with drywall screws. Then when fully completed silicone all the edges/seams. Cant go wrong there

Liqouid nails does infact break down over time. I've seen countless projects come back over a years time because of it. I personally use wood glue, brad nails, and silicone caulk on enclosures.

the wood glue will hold the wood much better then those screws ever will be. the reason to use the nails or staples is just to hold it together while the glue dries.. you did give your silicone enough time to dry right? if you play anything within like a day of sealing it, its going to blow through
