Default protect mode

something funny happened today. ive had my sub out for the past few days no bass at all. my 10 was acting a little funny i thought it was a loose wire inside the box cause everytime itd move the box itd start playing again i thought it was weird. but yesterday when i inspected the box no wires were lose and nothing appeared to be wrong with the sub. and my amp was fine. well today i went outside to mess with my system to see if i could figure out whats wrong. i decided to just take the 10 by itself and hook it up to my amp it wouldnt play and when i checked my amp i noticed it was in protect mode. never happened before ever with this setup. so i unhooked the sub , turned off the car and turned it back on and still in protect mode. wtf? nothing is hooked up to the amp besides the rcas and other wires. so i unhooked everything but power and ground and still, protect mode. whats causing the amp to stay in protect mode? mmatts d300hc

If an amp is mounted directly to a sub box, the vibration caused by bass can sometimes fuck up the internals of some amps. Sounds like if anything, you have a problem with the amp itself.
