Question radio keeps resetting when car is turned off

ok i wired it really ghetto, i have the radio power going to one of my fuses (i think its the cig. lighter or something that only comes on when the key is turned) someone told me i should run a wire to my battery too, but i have power going to my radio from just that fuse, but everytime i turn the car off and turn it back on the radio is reset.. on the back of the radio i got the red wire and the yellow wire going to that fuse and the ground to a bolt.. should i run the yellow wire to the fuse, red to battery, and leave the ground on that bolt where it is? lmk |ASAP please guys!

red = switched
yellow = constant

yellow wire has to be to somethign with a constant 12v to it, red is the ignition lead

Your problem is that you have the red and yellow connected. You need to run the yellow to a constant (a wire that is always live). Leave the red where it's at.

Do what John said

next time watch what your doing, you could have caught the cd player on fire or some wires. Should have went to wal mart or CC and just got the snap on harnesses if your too lazy to do it right.
