You have to take the ports to a shop that has a special sound processor called a di-poliatec-meter. They wire it up to a computer and put the whole setup in a wind tunnel. Turn the fans up to about 75 MPH and then graph the wind resistence through the port. Then the tuning frequency is calculated by plugging the numbers into the formula P=E(W+L). And simple as that, your port is tuned.

Don't carpet the inside of your port! If you do this it will be more resistance and any kind of port calculation, short of a wind tunnel, will not be accurate. Here's the port calculator I used http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31
