I just bought a used amp online and it worked for a few days now the left channel rca is kinda messed up. that understandable i can take it to get fixed but where. thats not the only thing i noticed. during my trouble shooting i noticed that my sum out from my head unit is not working either.


Both amp and head units are rockfosgate.

Is there anything i can check to to get my pre amps working agian. As a matter of fact only one pre out work and i have 3 wtf. im so pissed off right now. Any suggestions

 

don't buy used fosgate amps and head units?

 

lol update my amp works fine now the rca thing was pushin so i fixed that
my head unit is brand new so its still under warrenty
the only thing that sucks is that i have to rip it out of y car which is gonna take me a while since it has custom harness in the back so it cant be stolen.

my used amp works perfect now i just had to clean the rca thing.

on my head unit it has the same wiring harness but on the sides of the deck i have flat metal sheets that connect the reciever to the frame. I had the whole front area of my car out during install so i had access to alot of areas. Its not entirely thief proof but it will take a mofo alot of time to get the deck out in one piece

 

i was reading on the caraudio.com forums about someone who screwed a chain to the back of the cd player then bolted the other side to the firewall, well i guess a theif got in there one nite and tryed to steal his cd player...well lets jus say he took his anger out on the dash, leather seats, window, and the cdplayer itself, it hurts to see that kinda shit. my solution...take off the face plate

 

yeah but if that happens im just gonna shot some one. i dont car if they still my shit (audio) onc ethey dont fuck up my car. if they break my window, im gonna hurt someone. i dont care who., ill be that pissed

I have to turn the balance to the left 2 incriments on my shitty Blaupunkt to get the balance to sound even.
