got a similar question also. i was installing a HU into my sisters 97' chevy malibu. it had a theftlock on it, and when i installed the new radio, i couldnt get any power to it. i went to install the old one back in , and still no power. anyone know a way to bypass this, without having to go to the delearship for a code.

Did you try running the power directly to the sources or did you rely on the factory wiring?

Run the red wire directly to your battery, the black ground directly to a grounding point, and the yellow switched wire directly to your ignition. Another words, not just tieing it into the factory wiring harness.
