Need Help Choosing an Amp
I need to power 4 of these:

Will any of these work fine, preferably the cheapest amp I can get. Or if you see one on ebay, cheaper that can power these please post the link.

This is kind of a learning project since I've never done car audio before. Theres a reason why I need 4 subs and this project has to be really cheap hence the 8 dollar subs.
Thanks for the help

all of those amps will be ridiculously overpowering those subs. if u want cheap. u should just go to ebay and purchase a pyramid or legacy amp. also can i ask why ur wasting ur money on those subs? is this for a bullshit project ? i really dont get it. i ddint even know they sold subs for 8$
Its a bullshit project. Its not for my car and its not my money so it doesn't matter. The real project for me is in the fiberglass not really the sound of the system. I'm sure it'll blow early on and the person will replace them, but until then this is what I have to work with. I'll check ebay for legacy amps, thanks

also just a reminder, if ur doing a test run for a enclousure make sure u leave some extra room since, different subs require different amount of air volume. just a pointer. and all subs fit dirrently so hopefully u wont be wasting double ur money, good luck.

Will this work?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...089118850&rd=1
It would be running 75 watts to each sub right?

yes, if you use one channel per sub. you can bridge the channels to get a lil more power, ill try and make a diagram as simply as i can... O= a sub, and ----- or / or \ = speaker wire
Bridged:
Amp + ---O
Amp -    \/
Amp +   /\
Amp -_/__\
                 O
Not bridged:
Amp + __O
Amp - __/
Amp +__
Amp - __\
               O
A 4 channel amp will have 4+ and 4- speaker outputs on the amp. A 2 channel amp will have 2+ and 2- outputs. If you get the 4 channel, you can bridge it to get more power, aka use the positive from one channel and the negative from a 2nd channel. Id recommend bridging it, so you wont have to turn the Gain/Level on the amp as high, because the higher you turn the gain up, not only will you get a lil more distortion (prolly not noticeable) but also the amp might overheat and cut out.

Here comes the tricky part. Ohms. You have 2 options:
The Lecacy amp says its stable at 4-8 ohms. When you bridge it like that, youll be at 2 ohms, but unbridged youll be at 4 ohms. The subs will probably blow soon anyway, so if you dont plan on keeping the amp long at all anyway, then do whatever you want. But if you dont want the amp to blow up when you crank it, get a 4 channel amp thats 2 ohm stable like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...090036424&rd=1
When you wire it a certain way (which ill describe in a sec) with a 1 channel amp, the result will be 4 ohms. And you will get a lil more power too. So id recommend getting a 1 channel amp and wiring it as follows, which will give u a 4 ohm load for the amp.
The + and - all the way at the left represents the amp output, the rest are where u hook up the speaker wire on the subs

I hope this helps and that i havent gone way over your head. Good luck
