Default solobaric L7

gotta few questions about em. ive decided this is one of the subs i want, besides wshomer Treo, but really thats fuckin expensive. i think i over want to run 1 15" inside my car. as of now i just have 1 10" audiobahn and its pretty loud at times but itd like something a little more intimidating, inside of saying ya "i got 1 10". although people think its 2 12's .

well are these subs any good? im plannin on doing a custom install , probably with a big ass box. i want alot of bass, so im probably gonna go ported. i own a mmats d300hc amp. pretty insane amp, if u dont know what it is, u can see it here. http://www.carsound.com/reviews/amps/d300hc.html i think its plenty of wattage to run a single L7, what do u guys think?

any other advice on different subs i should look at. ill have plenty of money i believe to buy a sub or subs if i go a different route. but i rather just have one badass sub, i learned its easier to just take care of one.

remember i want alot of bass
thanks again,
eli

The L7 is proven, I've seen them easily hit in the 145+++ range without a sweat. That amp looks like a monster, you might want to think about a bigger alternator to help juice it efficiently. I think the sub/amp combo would work great for you, I seriously doubt you would be disappointed. Install is key though.

yeh, its a badass amp, also im gonna buy another battery for my setup, will that cover my problems john? just put it in a battery door or something where i can access it to recharge it once and awhile. yes i had that amp on 1 10" the 10 was supposedly 2200 watt but it says 1000 watt on it, i had no clue i was overpowering it. i love my amp though . looks like John confirmed my decision, out with the bahn in with the kicker.

also afboy, ill spend whatever is nessacry for a decent setup. ill be makin roughly 600$ or more every 2 weeks, and will spend most of it all on my car since i have nothing else to spend it on. so im lookin for the best. i always do.

Re XXX

www.respl.com
like $450 for a 15 shipped, this sub slams

Stereo Integrity
http://www.stereointegrity.com/
15" 350$ shipped. Supposed to be able to get a bit louder than the XXX.

ED-A
http://www.edesignaudio.com/ep2/15a.htm
$315
heard a lot of good things about this sub, jesse owns a 12", ask him how he likes it

Personally i would go wit the D2 outta all these. They are bad ass subs and they are known to get really really loud. Everyone over at caraudio.com seems to love those and the XXX's.

The thing with your electrical system is, it's only as good as the weakest link. Your alternator is the main key in a car's electrical system being it's the primary source of power while your car is running. I don't think any stock alternator could effectlively handle 1700w rms. Even half that amount would be pushing it.
