Default n00b question! yay!

Ok my friend has this p miller amp with a dual voice coil rockford sub. Each coil is 2 ohms. How would I wire this sub to get it the most watts possable?

http://www.bazooka.com/productAutoAm...sRS.asp?id=200

Thats the specs for the amp

Sorry i get confused with 2 channel amps and ahh

either wire the sub to 4 ohms and the amp mono... or just run a voice coil to each channel... either way you'll get the same power output... i wouldn't reccomend putting it down to 1 ohm and then bridging the amp... kaboom.

The kid had it running into .5 ohms. It would over heat like after 20 mins and hed have to let it cool down for 10 mins. Ill jus run each coil to each channel, thats 1000 watts (hopefully since its bazooka)?

no, it'll be more like 600 watts (according to those specs, no telling how much actual power he'll be getting)

I heard those bazooka amps are very underrated. He's probably getting more like 67854193671 watts out of that thing

ok, basic math here: 150x2 at 4 ohms
600x1 at 4 ohms

150 + 150 =/= 600

300x2 at 2 ohms = 600x1 at 4 ohms

therefore

impedance of the sub/2 = load to each channel

concordantly

1 ohm from sub = .5 ohm per channel = overheating master p endorsed amp
