Need Amp Advice.
i just picked up a 10" Eclipse sub(model 88100)...it came with a 760W sony Xplod amp, which i know doesnt put out even CLOSE to 760w...so ill be using it for a lil bit...but id like to replace it with a more powerful unit...what are some suggestions on some good amps? the sub is rated at 500w RMS...ive found some nice 500w PPI amps on Ebay for like $180...how good are PPI amps? TIA

depends on what series. If they are white there good but really old like12 years. If they are black they are the best ones ever made. the silver ones have alot of problems like overheating and shutting off randomly.
The people that invented the black serious also made xtant then JLaudio now boston acostics amps. If you want PPI go for the all black series.

it was a silver/grey color i believe...just gimmie a rundown of names of amps that arent shitty, so i know what to look for and what to avoid...Xtant are good? JL i already know, Boston Acoustics?? ive never heard of them
