Default whats the deal with bass tubes?

what are they? a sub AND amp in one? i see them on ebay for like $80....do they sound decent? is a bass tube and a "bazooka" the same thing? im wanting a little extra bump, but i dont want to spend that much $$..i dont need earth shakin bass.

some are powered, some arent, lots are like a 6, 8 , opr 10 in a cylnder.. i bet you could get 1 10 in a box and do better

yea but then id need an amp also, amps usually arnt to cheap...

i have an 8" bazooka tube with a built in amp..and hits good..i have it in my single cab truck..but once u get a tube..you will want more bump...

i listen to hardcore/metal and whatnot...i dont like alot of bass. just a little more then stock would be great.

I hate tubes and avoid them like the plague. that said if you want just a little more bass than stock and don't want to spend too much a tube will suit you fine... especially accompanied by factory speakers

yeah tubs arnt that great.. You would be better of getting a
high(er) doller 10'' and good amp. But if you dont have the money.. You go to do what ch got to do

The reason i want a tube (8 inch) is because thats all the room i have in my trunk.....
