Default what would you think is a good setup?

ok see im thinking about just one sub and a amp just for a little bump nothing to drastic, nothing that will make windows rattle and sound like my car is sick, or have the trunk/hatch come flying off the hinges....so what would be a good sub and a amp combonation?

im looking for mostly quality, nothing that can blow very easily if i give it some juice, but what would be some good manufacturers,
because i rarely know anything about audio. price isnt realy the thing just trying to look at some options more or less, but nothing to drastic on price..so i would say a good reliable, nothing really costly setup...

Well to get something really good you will have to go to a audio store and look for used or talk them down.. There is nothing wrong wiht used just have them write a 30day warnte<sp> or something. to cocer your ass.

Ok I personaly like eclipse.. There clean and if you want them to you can have them hit hard as hell. another brand might be maaudio. or crossfire.. There in a good price range.. i think ma is I cant rember ther pricing. and amp.. just get anything that is "D" class and digital. Try crossfire.. try to get a 1000w amp and get a DVC (dual voice coil) sub so you can bridge the amp and get a better sound.

I ran a single sub and my bostwic bridged to 1 ohm in a 1cf box and that bitch bowed out my back window..

I've heard 1 "8 eclipse sub and it was enough. Nice sound quality and the bass was loud enough. The older amps are good. Like in the 1995 time period (PPI art series or Rockford Fosgate Punch dsm).
