I have XM for my house and it is ok Just the output is so low you have to crank up the radio all the way and you get alot of background noise.. And for channel selection it good. You can get more of the style you like with eatch channel. I dont know if I want to buy the car kit yet..

Default sirius...

I have had sirius in my car now for several months and I LOVE it. I am glad I went with sirius becuase it is the only one that truly has no commercials. XM is owned by clearchannel and several of it's streams are nothing but a widened broadcast of some of it's larger radio stations out of LA and New York.
I love the uncensored music, and since i drive from brandon to sarasota twice weekly or more, i love not losing a signal.
And the sound quality is great, in my opinion. Not as great as a CD in the Deck, but better by far than the regular radio.

Just took XM back and got the sirius home setup... Mega difference.. Im glad i took that xm shit back.. If you have it in a car you have to use the madulator. sirius can also do everything xm does like from thr home to the car and whatnot.. I give it a bigfat thumb up!!!

I had Sirius and was happy with it. As soon as Eclipse comes out with a tuner I'll restart my subscription.

I've had a Sirius unit for several months now, thanks to the now-missing Russell Keenan (he dumped us dsm board guys to get a gn or something along those lines*sniff*). I'd say the main advantage to satellite radio is the much greater variety of stations, along with the added benefit of commercial free radio on the Sirius music feeds. The song selection on some of the stations closely resembles what you'd find on common local broadcasts, but if you tire of 103.5/the rock style music, you have a lot of other styles to choose from that you won't hear over the radio.

Sound quality hasn't been tremendous, but that's mostly because I've had to use the fm modulator, and my stereo is currently total crap anyway . As soon as I can find a place that stocks the rca input adaptor for the pioneer head units, I'll be able to see what it can really do.

BTW, does anybody know of a local shop that carries those adaptors?

No FM modulation here, got a sweet Kenwood HU that was Sirius capable... runs like a changer from my HU... thank God for crutchfield.com!
