Default What do you think of Pioneer subs?

So far I have all Pioneer stuff and I'd like to keep it that way. Just looking for a little bass now. So far I'm looking at Pioneer 12s and a Pioneer amp. Heres the amp I am going for:

And I figured I'd just bridge the amp to mono, or run one channel to each voice coil if I get a dual. Heres the subs:

Which sub would you go for? Dual or single voice coil? I was thinking of making my own box to spec. Probably just a standard box(size depends on what the sub asks for) and add one port to it. How does this sound so far? Thanks for any help.

Any reason, or no? I know you guys like the real top notch stuff, but I'm just looking for some decent bass, not competition quality. Know what I mean? Have you heard either one? I figure if they handle 800 watts they couldn't be too bad. Plus the speaker will be located like 1 foot behind me so it should help.

800 watts peak, dont let the numbers fool you

Just Im a beliver in the "no one company makes the best everything" pioneer has good head units... but the speakers to me are alcking, sure they'll hit and will prolly be pretty loud but I dont trust them, like I woudlny buy a sony hea dunit, sony amps and sony subs.. saying theres better compaines out there.

BUt if thats what youre gonna go for, imho I would just go for one of theose 12's with dual 2 ohm voice coils to give a 4 ohm laod tot he amp bridged to 400 wrms so you have 400 wrms feeding a sub that willwork well with 400 wrms

Well I think 400watts RMS is fine for me really. I don't want to be pulling a whole lot from my alternator or take up much space(weight).

What do you think of these subs?
