Freaking boost spikes...
I can't seem to get my boost to quit spiking...
If Im anything over 7psi I get spikes and then it'll drop down to 7psi, it's weird. I set it at 8, drops to like 6, set it at 9 drops to 7, but if I set it at 7 it'll stay.
I'd like to NOT have spikes, and Ive tried everything from ball and spring MBC's to bleeder types, nothing works w/o spiking.
Any clues?

I noticed I got more consistent settings when I moved the pressure tap for the MBC to a different spot, although I cannot remember if I moved it from the compressor discharge or TO the compressor discharge, something about the intake manifold pressure (more accurate) as oposed to right at the compressor before the pressure drop of the intercooler, this might be a starting point for you, I know it plagued me with my DSM

You should ask that little spanish kid with that orange mazdaspeed i heard he knows what hes doing...He solved his spiking and even beat a turbo civic running 7-9psi this weekend.

Keep raising your boost on those stock internals Laz. I warned you. I'll help you rip apart the block just so we can take pix of those piston rings you fried. I'll also get the MBC back that you got through me.
It's all good though, the way we have it set now there's no pulling for you.

Boost creep with an internal gate is normal. there isnt a way to really elminate it. sometimes you can tightten down the actauator by a nut on the rod. it increases the boost but makes the actuator stiffer. not sure if it will work on your turbo though
