what motor setup should i run??
ok some of you know me and that i have a pretty clean ef si with a sohc zc and an si cable trans.i ran a 16.4 with a bolt missing on my front motor mount(stupid i know but the motor flexes if you hit it in 5th).its a high 15 sec car with a good driver but thats still way to slow.so i pickedup a z6 head along with a brand new 3 layer cometic head gasket with plans of going turbo.i sent the head out to get rebuilt and the owner of the shop said the head was fucked so i told him keep it for scrap metal lol.
my question is should i get another z6 head rebuild it and spend around $500 to get it in the car and running or just get a b18b1, and a b16 tranny with an ls 5th and spend around $1200-1400 ish?i go to school and work 30+ hours a week and im only gonna be able to put aside $200 a month for the swap.i have $400 right now i get paid $200 tomm and when i get my tax return i plan on starting whatever motor i decide to go with.
i know its alot of info and talking but i just wanted to get good opinions on what i should do.

go with a non vtec b series such as the a1,b1 or b20, look for the best deal and pick one up. id do that instead of dumping my money into a single cam imo. then sell the zc as a full swap

unless the chassis is b-swap ready you'll spend more just getting the motor in. i'd get another z6 (best d-series head imo) and take it to a machine shop to get rebuilt. for about the same cost or less you'll have a brand new motor as opposed to a used LS and you never know how it was ran. and for about another +$1000 you can put some badass internals in it to handle higher boost.

a straight swap k20 for time and money is less than a built d turbo.
reasoning:figuring labor for, pulling the motor, machining, rebuilding, installing, fabbing turbo pieces, assembling turbo pieces and random accessories, the cost of all the parts, plus getting it tuned.... thats gonna cost more than pulling the d and swapping in a k with bolt in parts.

to many opinions lol the only reason i was considering an ls is because id like to make 250whp on low boost with just a headgasket, headstuds, and a good tune.

K FTW!!
But on a srs note, i personally would go ls/v and boost it. But thats just me, thats the swap i was going to do on my ej, but then i sold it.

If I could do it over again I think I might have gone with a J32A2. Badass, no denying it. Sounds awesome, has great power, and its the newest shit out there lol
