I hate gerogia!!!! So as many of you saw I was going to to GA. to buy a new beater here is the suck ass story and why I will never go more than two hours for a car again.
After er getting off work and running errnd i finaly get on the road about 7:00 little later than i wanted but not too bad. making good time ran into some bad weather heavy rains slowed us down but over all not a bad trip so far get to catrersville( where iam headed) just north of ATL about 2:00.

This is were the story gets bad. i wasn't sure where i was going to stop so i didn't bother making reservation for a hotel. I have been through the area before and there is alway a million hotels off the highway, what I didn't know was there is some big golf thing going on in atl this weekend, we drove to 7 different motels with no luck( note: i keep saing "we" my wife who supports but has no understanding of myc car obbsesion is with me). we are both so tired form workin 9 hours and then driving 7 we decide to sleep in the durango around 3 am. This can be comfortabe when well prepared but in this case we were not! All we have is a couple towels for blankets ,carrodo seat cushions for pillows( don't ask) and an outside temp of about 35 degrees.

Around 6 am after about 3 hours of broken sleep to run the truck for a min to warm up, we decide to go get breakfast. The "Mickey D's" is a story all unto itself, lets just say there were lots of inbread readknecks with hands growing out of thier forheads and lots of gold teeth( enough said).

So we have plans to meet the guy at 8:00 at where the car is stored, I call around 7:00 to see if he can meet earlier, : yeah just let me get the kids dresssed". So around 8:40 he shows up,(I hate waiting for people this is my biggest pet peeve) i check the car out, there are a few this he neglected to tell me, nothing deal breaking so he gave me a couple hundred off. we do our bussiness , load the car up on the traoler and we are back on the road by 10:00.

My one worry was getting coaught in ATL traffic, we fly through ATL ! im like sweet no problemsi m tired as hell but we are making good time untill dooley county( you knwo the one on cops all the time) Traffic comes to a dead stop and i mean a dead stop!! people were getting out of there cars and walking around.I called my brother in law too look up whats going on there was a 7 car pile up with one trackter trailer it took 5 hours to go 4 mile and i didn't even get to see the accident because the sent us around it on side roads. I sit in traffic for 5 hours i want to see some shit!! Now I am soo tired it's not even funny but the person who walked out dog had left the key in the house for us so we had to get home to walk the dogs. traffic is moving well again so
I think all is well untill we hit some construction for another hour delay to see 2 people working and 6 fat lazy GA dot workers fucking holding up rakes at 7;00 ona saturday night! Had my wife not been there i think i would have gotten out, beat them with one of the rakes, light them on fire and the pissed on their ashes!!

All said and done what took 7 hours the day before took 13 hours the next.
I have no clue why i am even up. On the positive side while in traffic i got to block the break down lane from people using it to get ahead , i had 8 cars block off at one point and i aorund 8:00 i saw the reflection of jesus on some crome doors on the back of a truck, we had a little conversion and he is do well if you were wondering he's been eating better and working out more.


If you could stand reading my horriable, grammer, punctuation and spelling long enough to read this post sorry for the long post.

A more than three hour traffic jam is calling for some serious road head...

 

Damn!!! 5 hours to move 4 miles?!?!? I would have gone nuts.....but Bill does make a very good suggestion.

 

Grandmother and mother were born and raised in dooly county. Ga is stupid with their construction schedules.
At least there wasn't a nascar race in atl when you were there.
