Default Torque Thrust

I Know These Wheels Have Been Done To Death But The Reason Is They Look Great
I Have Chance To Get 4 New Rims At 1/4 The Regular Cost
2 17 X 9.5 And 2 17 X 12
Want To Put Them On My 70 Chevelle - My Big Question Is The 12" Have A 7" Back Spacing And Dont Know If They Will Fit. Anyone Out There Ever Try To Put Such A Large Rim Under A Chevelle Or What Should I Look For - Hate To Buy Them And Not Fit

what size/offset are your current wheels, how much clearance you have now? if it just doenst fit, you could get 1/16, 1/8 1/4 in wheel spacers, but I wouldnt use them unless I put in aftermarket long style studs, just to be safe.

most of the radial tire cars run a 15x10 rim and a 5inche back spacing..them rims i doubt will work for u.even if u use spacers it will just push the rim closer to the outer fender and rub more then likely..u could by the rims then sell the rear ones and get some that will fit your car.

i have a fender roll tool - so i was going to roll the fenders - this thing is great - bolt onto hub - jack pressure on to fender - roll - aply more pressure - roll - until you get it where you want it. - i am thinking of racing this at the track - what is a 10.5 tire size - what size rims would i need to use to fall in that bracket?

10.5 guys use either a 10inche rim or 12..they come in the 28x10.5 witch is called a true 10.5,then u got the 29.5w and 31w 33w tires.u better have some power to run with the 10.5 boys they run low5s to mid 4s in the 1/8.

my nova is going to run in stock sepsension.u can run radials or slicks in that class..if u cant run faster the 5.80s u will more then likely go out first rd..my nova can take a 315 radial if i rolled the fenders, moved the spring in 2 inches..thats with useing a 15x10 rims with a 5inche back spacing.but i'm just going to run 275 radials..

even with rolling your lip bro i still dont think they will fit with out mini tubbing it..the backspacing is alot on that rim

i kinda want to be in that 10.5 class- my 454 will have about 600 hp plus i will spray (300 shot) the shit out if - i refill nitrous bottles (2nrwerks.com) - so the nos is not a problem. i will be happy with high 10's in 1/4 on engine and low 10's on gas. it will still be street legal and hopfully at the next track day- i already got my spot.
I think i might buy these rims - i can always use the 9.5" for rears and buy some 8" for fronts, sell the 12" ... but i need some more info on the 10.5 class -

if your going to race it, DO NOT GET SPACERS OR ADAPTERS! especially transdapt adapters. i bought aluminum rims off my neighbors hot rod, 14x7's up front, 15x8's in the back with a 295/50/15, and i've already had one wheel come loose. the back rims are fora ford, so thats why i have the adapters. i just got a machining job and their talking about letting me make better adapters. if you do happen to get some, you get what you pay for. dont get cast, get machined. and make sure the studs are long. that another problem with those transdapt adapters i have. but thats my experience and 2 cents.
