i thought so too and use a copper gasket. but i was reading at sce site that you don't have to o-ring the block too. one or the other but the o-ring can only stick out so far.

so i was one the correct track - i just need copper head gaskets.
and i was told if you use copper head gaskets you must use studs!

this is what i was reading. http://www.scegaskets.com/techtips/engineprep.html

there's other info about about copper head gaskets on there site. http://www.scegaskets.com/techtips/index.html

i don't know if you can take out the o-ring and just run a plain jane gasket if your not going to run high compression or nitrous.
