Default fuel in oil!

ok, so im not sure if im s.o.l. or not. i noticed quickly, and last night we changed the oil and replaced the mechanical fuel pump- and it was the cause for sure.ran the engine a couple of times and it was fine,a little gas leak but we fixed it quickly. but now my oil pressure linewent passed 100 and is pinned at the needle. its an autometer c2 with an electric sender. did the gas screw up the sender???

There's no way replacing a fuel pump changed your oil pressure at all, assuming this is an SBC you're running. Most likely, your sender freaked out or you bumped a wire off of something while you were in there. At 100 PSI, you should have blown a few seals by now.

actually, now there is smoke coming out of the drivers side exhaust, nothing it leakin on the outside. but the gauge, i flipped it upside down when i turned on the ignition and it fixed itself. and it reads good 40, and when i press the accelerator it moves smoothly. but like i said, now it smokes from the driver side exhuast.

Is it maybe a raw fuel smoke? Maybe its just burning some residue off. That or the fuel washed the rings to the point that they no longer seal. I'd drive it a few days and see if it clears up.

How long was the car off? Could just be condensation in the mufflers from all the wacky weather changes lately. If it's got a 160 stat, it's been cold enough out to keep it at 160 degrees lately.

16? Man, I wanted to come over a few times and just pull my shit out. I think they would've hit it like a bass on a top water lure.

You got some blow-by. Do you run a pcv? How many miles on engine? Maybe time for a rebuild.
