Default caprice help

hey i have a 93 caprice with an oil problem can someone in st.pete look @ it and tell me whats wrong i know its not much detail. just pm if someone have a couple minutes and the knowledge

um i really dont know i just know my car is burning oil and smokin alot when i drive pretty far distances

Hmm...thats kinda hard to determine whats wrong with it.. what motor is it?

yeah that can be a number of things. Hows the motor sound, whats the idle, is your fuel MPG suffering, do you notice a drop in coolant levels etc etcs.

How many miles are on the motor and was it sitting for any period of time over 6 months?

yes there is a drop in coolant and i have to refill it ever 3 weeks, and when the engine starts to idle it sounds lie something is empty but when the idle evens out she sounds good. yes it has been sitting and its about 140,XXX miles on her

im going for headgasket and/or valve stem seals..... sitting will do that to the seals

i doubt its the head because my she dosent overheat. are valve stem seam expensive/easy to do
