thanks, when i called ati and gave them the motor info. i guy said in a surprised voice " that motor is going to make around 500lbs of torque" i said it better i think he was suprised because the cam is so small. that cam has a nice flat torque curve. it should be a blast to drive. i think it only needs a 2500 stall.

727 trans with a ati treemaster 3200 10inch stall, a ford 9 inch with 3.70 gears and nitto 275/50/15's

Hopefully thats the last setback the motor gives you. I will say that after fixing my engine problem I wasn't out of trouble. I took it out on the second test drive and one of the spring retainers popped off the 3-4 shift lever. So limped back to the shop in second gear. On the third test drive I took it home and lost the rear u-joint on 66th st. Freaking car had more miles on the back of a tow truck after I worked on it, than I drove it.

My uncle towed his s-10 from Michigan and left his d/s in. He kept the motor running the whole time it was in tow. I would maybe drain and fill it, those transmissions are pretty foregiving to abuse.

with the motor running you have fluid pumping around. trans was spinning dry for 80 miles at around 50 mph. i got it running and it did move on it's own. but i just pulled it into the driveway. but it went into all gears. i haven't test drove it. i'm getting a exhaust this weeks.
