Default camaro subframe

i work at ups and one of the truck drivers has a early 2nd gen camaro subframe. he says it has all the parts, it just needs new bushings, etc. since my car needs new front subframe, is this something i could do in my driveway? or would i have to take it to a shop to swap out the frame? Does anyone have a link to a Do It Yourself site or know how to tackle this job?

You could do it in your driveway but it would be a pain. If you could get it on a lift it would make it much easier.

Try this linky http://www.p-s-t.com/polybu2.html

I've got poly bushings in my SS. They're a little creaky, but man is that car stiff.

I've worked on a motorcycle in my dining room several times. Don't worry about the white trash feeling.

I have had an engine in my kitchen before. It says you are a Spegetti-O's kind of guy. It says you have a can of Gunk by the sink, and use it often. And most importantly, it says you are single.

Working on your car in the house? I'm jealous. I always wanted a house like that PI guy on tv used to have. I think the show was Vegas or something. he use to park in his living room. pretty cool.

So does this mean you are goin got tackle the job your self? I can't help w/ any ideas on the sand blasting, I would maybe start w/ the phone book and see if you have any luck. Last time I had anything done was back in high school and I just brought it into my shop class and did it .

well, i have a friend that has a sandblaster, but i've never used one. yea im gonna start selling stuff that i bought for the car and never used, rear bumper, nos gauge carrier, m/t valve covers, etc. so maybe after i sell some stuff im gonna grab poly bushings, and a sway bar to start. but i totally need someone to weld the seams on the frame. then sand blast and maybe por15 it. not too sure if thats over kill or not, but hey if it lasts another 35 years i'll be happy. i'll post pics tonight because i probably won't be able to go to quaker steak, i have no money for gas and it takes half a tank.i'll also take a pic of why i needed this subframe.
