I have an LS6 shortblock out of my 04 GTO for sale. The shortblock includes ls6 crank, rods and pistons. 29000 miles on it.
I broke a ringland on #3 piston and it chewed it up and it kept right on running, but I had her towed and did not drive more than I needed to get a safe place to park and tow her out.
The bore has a minor scuff on #3 that a hand hone will fix, and a new piston is like 60 bucks, or you could toss a set of forged rods and pistons in it if you want to go big with it.
Crank and rods are fine. #3 is the only damaged piston. This crank is good to 1000hp, so whatever ya want to do, this is a good block to start.
I also have the stock 04 cam and lifters that I pulled when I changed my cam out last summer. I will toss those in free.
$900 firm.
Engine is out and ready for inspection just north of Tampa.

05-06 gto's were ls2's. the 04 came with the ls6 block, ls6 intake, but not the ls6 heads or cam.

 

I will also toss in balancer, timing set, & 28.8# injectors
