The thing keeps fluctuating all crazy like when im idling or coming to a stop and making an annoying tapping sound. Think it could just be the switch or sending unit or something east?

Normally I would say its just the sending unit. But being that it also has a tapping sound, that doesn't sound good. I'm about to walk out the door to go to lunch shoot me a text I'd like to come to you to check it out. I wouldn't suggest driving it till I can look at it.

Yea its just the gauge making the noise from fluctuating like crazy.

" Sounds " like its just the oil pressure sender. I show one at the parts store for 9.99 or possibly cheaper. Let me know when you want to bring it by. Its only a 20 minute job if that.
