Default My ghetto HMT Sohc un-mini-me civic *pics*

60' = 2.313 ( very good huh.. )
1/8 9.506
mph 75.82
1/4 14.663
mph 94.47

This run was made it COMPLETE DRIVING FORM ( tipped to the top tank of gas, 93oct., completly stock exhuast with punched cat, tools "in case shit", 5 extra quarts of oil, and all the misc. stuff my girl and I took to the track ).
I was running 10psi with the stock clutch ( which was slipping so bad in 4th that I was literlly tapping the gas almost all the way though 4th gear !! ) stock CRX Si rims, with BFG comp. TAs ( non DR ). Car was of course in "full interoir" foam.

I was pretty happy... That was the best outta.... one run... Yeah, one run... kinda..
#1 run = IC pipe came off in 3rd gear
#2 run = above times
#3 run = clutch slipping so bad it ran a 17.5 and I was in 5th by the time I went though the traps !!! I desided it was time to sit in the stands...

Sucks, but I'm happy..

Parts ? Mods ? Set-up ?
WEll.... This is an engine that for some reason, no one has ever though up... Its a D16Z6 block with a D16A6 head ( D15b2 in my current state ). I call it the "un-mini-me". Slap a vtec head on a non-vtec block you get high compression, right ?? Well, if you do the oppisite and you slap a non-vtec head on a vtec block, you get low compression !!! 8.4/1 compression to be exsact....

Anyway here is the parts list...
D16Z6 block with 98K miles
D15b2 head with 160K miles ( same as A6, just weaker cam ).
D16Y8 intake manifold with IAT sensor dangling by the firewall.
Ported HF manifold with BMC racing adaptor plate
unported ( for now ) TD04L-13T WRX turbo with -5,000k miles
Starion FMIC without custom endtanks ( 1.5'' piping and all ).
Late 80's volvo adjustable BOV.

FMS
DSM 450cc injectors with AFC hack untuned
PM6 un-chipped

Misc.
Stock full sized radiator
No A/C
DX tranny with 160K miles
new 93' clutch that can't hold past 6-7psi without slipping
Stock exhuast with 2 1/4'' DP that makes a 90degree turn
Few PVC parts on the IC piping ( painted black )

Interoir ??
Full civic H/B Si interoir swapped into it with a simple pioneer Cd player. The dash is still "Dx", but it has boost, elect. FP, and A/F guages by autometer ( phantom style ).

It also has the best interoir mod of all for old h/bs !!! The 94+ integra center console ( yeaaa, cup holders !!! But no "supersizing" !!! )
SI front and rear seats
SI cluster
SI A/C vent clock ( gotta have it baby !!! )
SI this, Si that blah blah blah !!!

The exteroir is the best part...
Minus the starion IC.... No one knows the wiser !!! The stock exhuast is dead quite !!! And I still get 5psi at 2200rpms and 1X+psi by 3000rpms !!! With low compression mind you...

The clear coat is coming off, so I figured I'd better slap a paint job on it soon.... I made some hood vents on the stock hood, which sounds really ghetto and sounds like it would really make the car look like crap, BUT to my supprise ( and everyone elses ) they look fairly good !!! ( And I'm the kinda butt-monkey that dis-likes wings and "bling bling" kinda stuff ), but I gotta say it turned out better than I thought it would.... Too bad I gotta paint it.... Ole well, painting it the factory color anyway, to match the dor jams and engine bay...

A good friend let me borrow those POS lights that are the wrong year...

I got own'd over a internet trade... He got my projectors head lights and stock tails and I got.... Umm.... Scammed....I'd trade them for some stock ones in a heart beat...

Which do you speak of Jake ? the VX or the HF ?? Hehe... I have to admit I never thought it would be that fast in "daily trim". I smoked a LT-1 trans-am from a 2nd gear roll last weekend... Crazy...

My goal is to run in the 13's and do 104mph in the 1/4 mile, my brother's camaro runs 13.4 like clock work and does 99-100mph, I just wanna be able to beat him from a 2nd gear roll for now, and from a stop after I get some nittos...
