I wish I had some updates for ya. I've tried to avoid car sites and magazines like the plague. I havent spent a dime or a minute on the car in forever. With the economy the way it is, I'm trying to pay off any bills I have, just in case. I don't think I will have to go job hunting, but I'd rather be ready just incase. If things look good at the begining of the year, than I will start back on it then.

Well, several years later, several unmentionable thoughts of selling the car and a lot of wishing, I am going to start back on the ride. I seem to have lost my book mark in my plan book so things may change slightly from what I had originally planned. The holidays are coming up as well as the slower season at work so progress is probably gonna be slow but I'm glad to feel better about working on it. I've been doing some research, asking questions and pondering some ideas and I'm getting excited!
A buddy came over yesterday and helped me throw in the tranny... well until the burgers were done, but the hard part is out of the way. In the last couple of months, I have ordered a lifter hold down tray (spider/dog bone setup) which as it turns out now I have two
. I also got in my lifters as well as a set of Harland Sharp RA stud girdles.
Well other than being excited to mess with the car some more, that's it for now. I'll find something to take some pictures of and post to make it like a real update! hah

Here is the latest, spent a little more than I expected but what can I say, I was excited!
I got my Pushrods, Stud Girdles, Steering shaft, Water pump, Valve covers and Throttle body in. Just took some quick pics, will put the stuff on when I can. It feels good to get to tinker with it some. I want to take the lower intake and valve covers and have them coated silver to match the upper intake.
Had to dust off the ole red carpet again, a little old and worn out but it'll work!

I think next on the list may be the starter, throttle cable and bracket and maybe fuel rails. Behind Bars race Cars has some that are supposed to clear the distributor a little better. I wanna get some feed back on them or opinions on others before I get them tho.
Here's to keeping me busy for a little while.
