    $650 Civic EX repairs

I just bought a '98 Civic EX Sedan. It's in perfect mechanical condition. Engine runs great, transmission shifts smooth, starts up with no hiccups, ect.

The only thing is that it was rear-ended a while back. Nothing that affected how the car ran, just a minor eyesore, as the rear trunk hangs down about 1 inch (see attached picture).

Upon further investigation, it appears that the metal support (idk what it's called), behind the bumper is pushed back, and the area around the spare tire storage is crumpled pretty badly. (see attached picture). Does anybody know how or if this is repairable? Or where I would get the parts. I've considered going to a junk yard and seeing what I can salvage off of the millions of civics they have there, but I wanted to ask what you guys thought first. Thanks for any advice you can give guys, first time poster on the forums here.

I was thinking about doing that, but I don't know any good welders around here, and I sure as shit don't know how to weld lol. What parts do you think would need replacing?

you should be able to find some welders on here for a good price . idk the exact name but it should just be the underpart of the trunk , try taking your bumper off and seeing for sure.

Quick update: We got the rear end pulled out. It's not in perfect condition, but at least it's filled out to standard width/length again. There's no rubbing of the trunk anymore. I'll post pics as soon as I take some tomorrow.
