by either
1. pulling the motor

or

2. trying to get it out in the car by dropping the cross member / supporting the motor / pulling the pan / valve cover / front cover

u dont have to pull the timing off. the pump is the lower front cover. you will notice the 4 or five phillips head screws on the inside of the lower cover. that would be it. but as martin said it would really be easier to pull the motor.

dude, pull the motor, it will save you ALOT of time. and it is a pain in the ass to get the cross member and shit all back bolted in place by yourself.

theres also 2 you gotta get from under the valvecover

i was stating about the ones on the back of the bottom cover like it states. to remove the oil pump componets thanks thou.
