I'm sure the stock pistons/rods can hold more than 350whp with the right setup and VP C16 fuel. The Honda's have made upwards of 550whp on VP C16 with stock pistons/rods. The 2AZ-FE block itself is STRONG. I've personally seen 60lbs run through the stock block with pistons, rods, billet mains, billet main girdle, etc.

Not sure who is giving out the info about scion tc stock motors. But next time you post something please research!
Stock 2as rods are very thin and will not take cylinder pressures above 375 whp for very long.
Stock 2az pistons have very high mounted ringlands, toyota did this for maxinum burn and emmisions this is horrible for boosted apps! The ringlands will collape's at high boost.
Its true Q16 is a good fuel to prevent det! BUT in this case it comes down to the parts inside not being able to hold up!
Stock sleeves are good for 800WHP plus though! Stock crank As well!
If anyone would like info thats true.
