Default Why Phearable.net no longer offers crome as a solution.

A lot of people have been asking me why I have totally stopped tuning
cars using crome and switched to only tuning eCtune / Hondata / Neptune.

I figured I would make a public post concerning the topic.

The primary issue was Crome's ignition timing control.
Crome's control over high cam ignition timing (vtec) is limited.
There are ways around this issue with different remedies
or code fixes which the crome's developers have not implemented yet & honestly. I am not sure if they will resolve the issue any time soon. Several attempts to resolve the issue have been made by Crome's developers but none of them worked.

What vehicles do these effect:
This issue primarily effects vtec vehicles.
This issue primarily effects turbo vehicles.
It does effect higher compression all motor cars.

How does this effect you if your boosted vtec setup is tuned on crome:
You are probably running a lot more timing then the ignition tables show which causes detonation
in some cases.

Should you have your boosted vtec setup re-tuned on a different system?
This depends on who tuned your setup to begin with
If you want the bonuses of another system & you just want to be 100% sure that
your ignition timing values are correct. I would highly recommend you do so.

If you don't believe this issue exists, I have dyno runs to prove that this issue exists as I tried to present this issue to crome developers so that the issue would be resolved.
I spent several hundred dollars & several hours doing r&d.

Other issues:
- Crome's idle control is/was limited & still needs work.
- Crome did not have the ability to cut ignition nor did it have an anti-lag capability for drag racing applications.

There are many more reasons but they are not as significant.

For more information on these other ems systems which have been proven clean of these issues check out:

Very informative and good to know.
Is eCtune taking the place of Crome?

I was more or less asking if eCtune was the most like Crome, not if you were offering those services.

Ok, well you should have asked that question.
Go to eCtune - Home and look at the screenshots for your self.

eCtune is not available to the public, it is only available to authorized tuners at this time.

There will be a public release for single vehicle use for the DIY person, eta is unknown.
