The K&Ns are nice, but so damn pricey...and I agree with the "you dont need the nut on the end if you hand tighten it anyways," though yes it does work better than the cups.
Just another reason to switch to a cartridge filter.

searching or through google. they dont realize the date 'cause they're nubs.
PS: i still think people who cant get oil can off are idiots. I just went ahead and bought the little fluted plates for my family's cars and it makes the job easier and faster than the rubber straps. Never tighten more than about a quarter of an inch past hand tight. comes off every time.

I hand tighten my shit all the time, never had a problem taking it off.

I always over tighten it when I hand tighten, still requires a "special tool" to take off cause I'm such a klutz.
