Default If not JE then what?

JE's not good on boost? I dont know who you have been speaking to but I would stop talking to that person. JE is one of the better manufactures on the market today and Forged pistons are well suited for the job of boost. If you need help building the motor I work at a 39,000sq foot engine builder in Inverness, Fl not too far from you and you can ship real easy if you didnt want to take the drive. Give me a call...

Sounds like a pretty good setup.

Sorry to hear that its smoking on you though. Assuming nothing is majorly fucked up I would also be guessing its improperly seated rings or turbo seals.

There is also the possibility that it may not be oil smoke if your fuel setup may be going crazy rich under boost which could make your engine appear to be smoking.

well i know for a fact its oil because the smoke is white...but i just had the turbo fully rebuilt (all bearings, seals and shaft) and balanced... so i think its got to be the pistons...

You're running a motor under boost before your rings seated thats your problem..Was the motor overly rich during the break in process, how did you break in the motor? How soon did you boost on it?

12 to 1 rising rate and 440s...You washed the rings out,by running so rich they will never seat..This is no fault of JE rings...
