This is the official sign up list for the Miata Auto-x on Saturday (night) and Palm Bay Auto-x on Sunday (morning). The drive to Palm Bay is about an hour and a half from pretty much anywhere in Tampa. Directions to be posted later.

I'm in, so is BodyRollin. Let us know so maybe we can get a group convoy to Cracker Barrel first. :D

I may skip out on the night one and do the one on Sunday. Exactly how far away is it and how long will it take to get there going the speed limit (I WILL NOT be speeding :x ).

Not down for Craker Barrel though...it gives me the shits and may decrease my ability to auto-x competitively. ;)

But that is speed food. You end up driving faster so you can get to the port-o-let after your run (no pun intended).

It is about 1 1/2 hours away. I will get directions from Chris tomorrow and post the link here...I promise.

The Saturday one starts @ 2:30 for registration. Just figure in the usual delays and breifings and it will probably let out just about the same time Streetheat starts. Nice easy (and short) hop over there. from SPJC.

i know the sat event is a miata event so it will probably be slower, tighter and more technical, how about the palm harbor, how are those usually?

hey mark look at the post in this forum that says "AUTOX DOUBLE HEADDER" i go to palm bay alot and i gave a discription of the layouthttp://www.tamparacing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=28113 there ya go that is the link i think :) i think that the accord should do pretty fair as the layout is usually a nice pairing of technical tight stuff and nice horse power favoring straits.

I won't have the time to kill on Sunday, so it appears that the Saturday auto-x is the only one I will be attending this weekend. :(

Hope you guys have a good time at Palm Bay.

not to talk shit leonard but if you are on street tires im gonna beat you im close enough to do it now as it is with you on r compounds let alone on street tires. lol and as for the porsche guy every 1 says you are too cocky but in my posts u seem humble enough i suppose. i would like to see you on r comps to see if i still beat you in my integra lol.

p.s. im not talkin shit because im not the best and there is always something beautiful and respectable about the pursuit to be a better driver. god knows there are enough shitty drivers on the road. lol the world needs a few more decent ones. lol

p.s.s. just stirrin up the pot trying to make competition a little more fun!

Saturday or Sunday? I figure all of the people who are at the Miata Auto-X can hash out a meeting spot that is cosher for everyone and we can call the rest and tell them where to go. It is up in the air so far as to where to meet Sunday AM. Post up some ideas and where you are coming from so that we can get the ball rolling in the proper direction.

We'll probably meet at my apartment in Brandon since it is really close to I-4 (where we have to go). Get me your cell number Mark and everyone else so that I can get you directions to my pad.

Hah, stories of my arrogance have been greatly exaggerated. I think Leonard got a little miffed at one point cause I was skeptical he could beat me before I knew he was using race compound tires. I wasn't too arrogant about it since I told him he had a chance if both he and his car were good, and they were. Leslie and I also got into a spat at one time because I said I was better than most auto-xers (which is a fact since I always do better than over half of the cars at every auto-x I have been to, though that will probably not hold true this weekend against a bunch of miatas). Since we have both called each other out I am glad that at the 2 events we have both participated in she has not beat me yet, but she has come close.

I do look forward to having a set of soft compound tires to run on. Since the car is my daily driver I will need an alternate set of rims to pull that one off, but thanks to the powers of e-bay I may just have a set in the next week or two with a nice set of BF Goodrich Comp T/A R1, 235/45-17 and 275/40-17 already mounted to boot. I'm just crossing my fingers that the bidding does not go too high.

Hopefully with better tires and other mods I can start beating Leonard and Zate and stay ahead of Leslie, but to avoid any more accusations of being too arrogant I will just have to say we'll see what happens.

:P

I may leave earlier without you guys on Sunday. Probably sound like a pussy, but I don't exceed the speed limit like most of you guys do. $650 in speeding tickets for one month resulting in insane insurance rates was more than enough to set me straight.

If not for the police and insurance man I would probably average 30 MPH over the speed limit instead of my current 10 MPH.

FYI, the new unwritten rule among the police officers is that less than 10 over will not get you a ticket. This is just a courtesy rule, so burgs that live off of speed trap revenues and piss poor cops may not always adhere to this accepted limit.

I have a novel idea, why not chill out at street heat till about 12 then just head on over, stop at a fairly empty hotel and see what kinda deal we can work out to fill some of there rooms?

excellent idea that way noone has to get up obnoxiously early to get there on time. and we dont have to speed to get there on time which should make phatstang happy too. :D there is a little hotel usually starvin for business right next to where we need to be anyway.

BIG_Truck_Driver

If we get a decent sized group together they should be able to hook us up on the room rates, and Alan, I didn't try this hard last time I just got you drunk on your own abc vodka!

I'm still going to drive over Sunday morning. Honestly don't have the extra money to spend on a hotel room. Plus I don't mind waking up early for the drive. :)

Oh Walter...the 12 year old 1.75L plastic bottle $7 Vodka pwn3d joo. I still can't believe you started chugging that shit. :o

The hotel idea was the best, we spent $16 each, Craig dissappeared, I went to his apt to pick him up and the lights were out, oh well. This weekend pretty much rocked, I just wish I could have run in both events.
