Nope, it was a yellow Integra Type R. We saw it happen....my hubby had to pull a guy out of the car. He was trapped between the drivers seat and roll cage. He wasn't racing, was cut off by a jeep that he swerved to avoid. He hit the concrete barrier on the right side, burst into flames and hit the concrete barrier on the left side. Driver and other passenger got out on their own, but driver had a bad gash on his chin and possibly a broken jaw. We don't know what happened to the one that my hubby pulled out, but he didn't look too good. If anyone else knows, please let us know.

 

damn i guess the flames messed up the paint, it looked white. but i assumed they were racing, i guess i was mistaken. Damn so your man pulled someone out? thats crazy, hopefully everyone is ok, and not too badly hurt. More info please anyone?

Yeah, it was definitely crazy...and what's even crazier is the cops told the jeep driver to leave. Evidently he was 'an old military guy' according to the police...like that means anything. My hubby was arguing with the cop because he was insisting that they were racing, you know how they are about imports.

The passenger that had to be pulled out was totally out of it the whole time. If anyone knows what hospital he went to (his name is Tyler), my husband would like to know.

 

i figured the police were going to think they were racing, they think all imports are always racing. And thats some bull shit that they let the driver of the jeep go, wtf!!! if i were the driver of the teggy when he gets better i would sue, some old military guy cuts him off, makes him crash, knocks him unconscious, and blows up his car and he just gets to drive away. our legal system at its finest...thats bull, that makes me mad.

 

Personally, I wish there were more car fires at CCC...

 

The real scary part is that cars don't burst in to flames (like the movies) from impact ... but thats exacly what you discribed. Thats also a big problem in the "tuner" comunity. Hack mods to make cars "faster" at the expence of safety... I wonder what was "moded" on this vehicle to make it burst into flames the way it did ...

BTW hope every one is ok ... And props to you and your husband for stoping to help a stranger ...God knows we need more citizens like you ...

 

All it takes is a broken fuel line and fuel getting on the exhaust manifold.
