No results to give you. Race didn't happen  I just can't get this suspension to work for me right now.
So as a man I walked up to Shaun and gave him the win by default. Cause with me not hookin he would of won anyway.
But Brian from EFI-Unlimited was out with me tonight and we did some data logging on the car and we think we might have some ideas as to whats going.
So Shaun good luck with putting your shit back together and let me get a handle on whats going on with me car and we will tee it up again :D
Thanks for everyone who showed up tonite. It was like a TR Ford family reunion.
And sorry guys I dropped the ball....we will put on a show next time for ya.

It was a nice TR turnout. I was bummed today; had a shitty investor back out on a deal of mine  So that TRack is just what the Doctor ordered man. I was stoked to get to smell the tires burning, fuel burning, nitrous burning, and see all my fellow Ford Tech junkies!
Good luck w/your car Dave. Any word on what the goof-up is??

Well its a traction issue. I build this motor to rev fast and thats exactly what its doing....to fast. As soon as I let go of the 2 step it jumps in revs and spins the tires. All the way through 1st gear the speed level off. We hit second it hooks and the speed climbs like it should.
Brian played around with taking some timing out here and there and we made some progress and we have some ideas we want to try. Its just gonna take more track time plus some time on the rollers would help us too.
We will get there though.

It was on the motor all night long....period!
There is no bottle installed on this car yet.
And anyone who wants to call me out on that you see my address in my sig you all are more than welcome to come by and take a detailed look at the vehicle.
Yes the car got progressivly better through the night we still arent where the car use to be with my old setup. Going to my current setup has givin me nothing but problems.
Will we find where the problem is hiding I promise you.

I know what the problem is its that dam intake

The intake is why I might be down a couple ticks on power...but thats not the traction issue.
You saw the vehicle speed graph didnt you?
You can see where the vehicle speed just levels off for a long period of time....which tells us its spinning.

Mabye its slipping the clutch, but it wasn't spinning the tires very much at all.....

Maybe but being doing this for along time it just doesnt feel like clutch slip to me.
Plus its only in first gear....bang second (when it actually goes in) it hooks and the vehicle speed starts to take a steady up ward climb
Plus its a ceramic puc style so I am really rulling clutch slip out.

I'm not trying to get in a pissing match here or anything, just trying to be a little helpful.....
Just to let you know I've been doing this for 25 years, That being said I do think I know what tire spin looks like.....
If you don't think it's the clutch slipping you might to look a little closer at the tune or possibly the component match up you have..... I know from past experience that efi foxes with factory computers and sticks can be a real pain to get right, alot of the time they will go flat or sometimes even bog when they hit the tires leaving in 1st.....
I personally have had a couple stick foxes that would bog and loose a couple tenths in the sixty foot time alone if they dead hooked..... It just seemed like a turn or 2 of the tires when leaving and they would really run.....
I'm done here now, Good luck with it and best of luck with getting it ironed out.....

LS1coupe, he was running somewhere near 10-11 i think. An he did have a lot of timing pulled out, but i think he needs a bigger pill in the 2 step, He was only on a 4k pill if i reamember correctly.
I ordered a 2 step today for next time. It will be getting tuned next week, an if that doesnt help any its all for sale, an i will put a carb on it. I can promise you that.

We had the 2 step set as low as possible with the pills I had with me. The 2 step was set at 3k. As for the tire pressure iwinulose is right we where hanging around the 10 to 12 ish range.

Maybe I can help clarify a little bit of what is going on with 91notch's car.
I recorded a total of 4 passes that evening, each getting progressively better, 60' wise. The pass you see on video was the LAST pass of the night, see below for an explanation.
The first pass I recorded that night, the tires definitely spun. It was VERY evident in the log, and easy enough to see.
For the remaining passes, we gradually brought the 2step down, aired down the tires, and I pulled a lot of bottom end timing. The last pass, on video, the car did hook, but it actually bogged after the clutch dumped, because I pulled too much timing, and slowed it down. It doesn't seem so obvious on video, but in person, it was evident in the tone of the motor.
So, yes, on video, his car dead hooked, but it was far from optimal.
Based on the information we collected that night, we have a plan for what to do, and next week, we will see if our efforts pay off.

EFI/carb swap = expensive.......and the only reason I haven't dont it yet! Plus, the car rely's on too many of those wires to function the A/C and be a decent daily driver for me to cut any of em....right now.

IDK about your car but on my 28x10 hoosiers 10 is a flat ass dead fugger and 12 I get tire spin. I find that 11-11.5 lbs works absoloute best for me

No cutting involed. As far as cost if you have aftermarket efi parts to sell, conversion will put money in your pocket

As far as cost if you have aftermarket efi parts to sell, conversion will put money in your pocketThats just it...I don't like to sell the EFI parts...The govt may require it after a while. LOL Actually, the EFI parts are part of the whole package, and I'm kinda a pack rat...It would cost me a MINIMUM of around $600 IIRC to do it w/o selling any parts.
