Scooter Maintenance
So I just bought a scooter to use for business (dog walker) and I am at the point where I need to have the oil changed. Can anyone recommend a place that does this?!
I travel from Plant City to Hyde Park on the scooter, so I'm looking for a place somewhere imbetween.

look up motor cycle repair shops or sales in the yellow pages. i'm sure they could do an oil change for you. or i'm sure a local member might be bothered to help you out.

It's a Jonway 150cc Commuter. Got a great deal on it -- new. I want to take care of it. It tops off at 60, but I generally don't go faster than 50mph. I'm hooked. A motorcycle will be next as long as I can keep the same fuel usage that I'm getting now. It gets 100mpg. Saving me a ton of $$$.
100mpg and 60mph huh.... bet you could mod it to go atleast 70.
gas will be 4$ a gal soon... I really should get one of these things.
oh and any bike shop should be able to change your oil... you could try where you bought it from first.

So the saga continues...........
I've called several shops. Barneys, the shop in St. Pete, a couple that haven't gotten back to me.
Here's the problem. Jonway aka Ranger scooters are made in CHINA. The bigger shops have a grudge, I guess, against scooters made in china. They will not service them.
I paid an amazing $875 for the scooter (new.) I'm just glad I got it and I'm used to it. I'm not so afraid of the motorcycle idea anymore. I'd like to keep the scooter as long as possible, but I guess we'll see.
I pretty much take the scooter where ever I go. I can't see taking my car unless I have to..........i.e., picking up son from football, groceries, etc. I'm saving way too much $$ Yea!

u should be able to do it yourself itd be much cheaper than going to a shop and having them rape you on the price... look in the book to see how much oil to put in what kind it takes and your oil filter. what kind of bike are you into crusiers or sportbikes?

Any shop can cahnge the oil....
Its just a matter of whether or not you can find a replacement oil filter for it.
