Default Remove Catalytic Converter"

Anyone know of a place that will remove the catalytic converter off my truck. All i want to do is remove it, as it is so plugged it almost stalls the vehicle, but no one wants to take it off, and i am not putting a new on on, as every vehicle i have owned has ran better without one, but the shop that used to remove them refuses to do it now.

You don't remove it, you stick a rather large and beefy snake up the tailpipe and remove the blockage. Push it up until you break some away, then hit the gas and expel the peices with the exhaust pressure, and repeat until its no longer plugged. I've watched many mechanics do this to customers' vehicles - it beats taking off the cats.

I'll try to find some hole in the wall muffler shop then. I can give the guy up to $60 under the table. If anyone knows of anyone that will do that let me know, otherwise, how would i weld the new pipe in place if i do it myself, i don't have any equipment that can do it.

Did you read the rules on this site before you started posting? You don't discuss illegal things here. I told you the easiest legal way I can think of to do it. Otherwise get the cat replaced. Riding withotu one is illegal, and modifying it can result in ridiculous fines for both you and the shop.

If the Catalytic Converter is no longer functioning properly they are allowed to fix it. Just have them install a "high flow" cat AKA gutting it out
