Default Distributor Question

Ive Got A 91 Crx With A 90 Block And A 93 Head(d-series) And Its Leaking Oil From The Distributor So I Replaced The O-ring On It. It Is Still Leaking So I Went To Hondaland And Talk To A Guy Who Said It Is Because The Head Is Obd1 And The Distributor Is Obd0. So My Question Is Is That True, And How Would I Go About Fixing This Problem.

Unless there is some wobble when you push in the distributor, it
should not be affecting an oil leak.

When a new o-ring doesn't seal, some people take the red high-temp gasket sealer, and apply it with their finger into and
around the rubber o-ring.-Bob

there is a seal inside the distributor sub assembly that is known for leaking oil also. You can replace just that one seal for like 8 bucks from honda if they still sell those seals seperatly. 9/10 that is what your problem is. That or find another sub-assembly that doesn't leak oil. My opnion is to go see if you can get a new seal and replace that part.

*should have stated this first, pull your cap off and see if oil is inside the cap or leaking around the cap area, that is usually a sign of that sub-assembly seal leaking oil.
