what is the point of this exhaust besides being ugly

To add weight to the rear for traction control on the FWD cars when a park bench stuck to the back of one isnt enough.

It loops through twice like John said to quiet down the exhaust. I don't think it would look good on and eclipse but it probably would get less cop attention than a 4 1/2" canister out the back. But it just would look too small.
