The first thing you'll have to know is that AWD cars don't spin the tires as easily as FWD cars. Because of this, you can drop the clutch at a higher RPM than with GS-T's. My personal suggestion is to rev the car up to about 4500 RPM, then let out your clutch and floor the gas pedal. If your car is stock, you'll shoot forward with an "OH...SHIT!" coming from your mouth. Note: Be careful not to hit your head on the B-Pillar...this has been known to happen with AWD launches.

theres alot more to it then that..

maybe not with a COMPLETELY bone stock car.. but its not simply dumping the clutch and "flooring" the gas pedal.

Goddamn I'm a grumpy piece of shit..

PM me and I'll tell you how I learned to do it on a WRX... I'd imagine its somewhat similar

Remember, bro...he's still new to the launching thing. Eventually he'll get used to how much he has to put the gas down, but for now, flooring it and dumping the clutch will be fine...he shouldn't bog or anything. My advice was seriously "for now" advice...eventually he'll get better, and my advice will become obsolete.

They don't last long enough on the road to make a launch lol. Its like the spaceshuttle losing a piece of one of its plates. Launch canceled.

On a serious note... practice makes perfect. People can give pointers but I think its best that you go and practice to you get a feel and where abouts you feel comfortable. The best launch I've see from an awd Talon was at the track about 2 yrs ago. A silver one, no passenger side headlight. The guy literally looked like he skipped down the track. It was for sale. I saw him launch that car and I couldn't believe it. It was like he was practicing at every stop light he stopped at on the road. It was perfect... a straight launch... jumped down the track. He did it more then once so it wasn't luck the first time. Practice makes perfect.
