COBB Access Port
What is everyone's opinion on them?
I have teh SPT Cat Back and the SPT Intake, I am thinkign about doing the AP as my next mod in a few months.
Does anyone have one? If so what do you think? Is it worth teh 600.00 price tag?

I have one. Stage 1 is nothing special. Car pulls a bit harder up top since boost doesnt taper as badly, but that was the only difference I could feel on the butt dyno. It seems to be hit or miss. Some people claim to feel a big difference, and others say that stage 1 is nothing. It seems that stage 2 puts a smile on everyones face though.
Is it worth $600? If youre going to stay at stage 1, no. The power gains just werent there for me to justify it. But I plan on adding more parts, so I wanted an EM system in place first that could help me take advantage of them. The AP fit the bill perfectly cause I can run on their OTS maps until Ive got enough parts to warrant a custom tune.

+1
Some people rave about stage1 but it wasnt all that. It did make the car more reponsive though and the boost didnt come on as choppy, pulls all the way to redline. Stage 2 is a different car all together. Pulls much harder, launches better, smooth as well. deffinetly can feel it on the butt dyno.
If you are thinking about TBE i would deffinetly get the EM first. May not feel great at first but you will need it come bolt ons.

No problems with mine... I've been running Stage 2 for about 25k miles.
I did notice an improvement with stage 1, but it was more in the smoothness of power delivery and low-end. Of course, stage 2 is a huge improvement.

thansk for the info. I think thats my next step.
Is the stage two require a full turbo back?
Also does anyone know anythign about intakes with the AP? I ask because there site says they do not guarantee anythign with an intake. I can go back to air-box, but I am loving the SPT.

any intake has been know to make the car run lean. i would stick with what your EM says to use unless you get a pro/custom tune.
The minimum for stage 2 is a downpipe but the turboback is better.
i would also look into getting an uppipe if you dont have one already, I have read thing on nasioc about the cat breaking apart and killing the turbo. Seems to mostly happen on stage2 with stock uppipe.

accessport is a great mod, COBB definately knows what theyre doing. If anyone is looking for an exhaust and still wants to keep the "sleeper" or "stock" look, then Id suggest just buy a downpipe and get a QTEC. Its an electronic bypass that can either be bought with a DP ($450 i believe) or you can buy a DP and have it welded in.
