Do you even know what ignitor chips do? The name gives it away, just like boost controllers.

Its useless.

Instead of doing the research he would rather ask questions here to get the response he is craving, simple unadulterated attention.

Meanwhile.

All that the ignitor does is send a 12V impulse down to the coil. It basically works or it doesn't. If you're not making boost on the stock turbo until 5k, then you have some serious issues. Most likely, you're way down on timing. Take it to a shop that works on SR's, pay them $20 and have them set the timing for you with the FSM perscribed methods (or better yet, a consult interface). The other possible scenario is that you have a major (MAJOR!) exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold, either between the manifold/head or the manifold/turbo.

Just to get my cracks in.... I don't know how so many people can't get a stock ECU/MAFS/injectors/turbo car running properly!

Its not the fact we didnt ask questions to start out, its the fact that we took the initiative to go do something about it when we didnt find the answers we needed.

Ep has put down some serious knowledge right there to help you out, fucking ten bux on you have made one step towards getting your timing checked.

Relatively sure because the mani was put on by you and or your friends that there is a significant leak somewhere as well.....

Doesnt help you got the raw end of the dick to begin with , with that car.

good luck.

I hate car talk.

^^ What he said. Ignitor is either working or not working, and has exactly zero to do with how a car is boosting. You either have timing WAY off (and thus arent making any power, even off boost... OR you have a huge leak so the turbo isn't spooling.

The other option is that you went "OMFG HUGE TURBO" and bought one off a semi or something, and has entirely the wrong compressor map for how your engine flows. You said it was a stock SR setup, so I don't think this is the case, but ... I have to suggest it.
