SO I was watching Formula D
The other night when I saw 2 05 stangs drifting w/ all teh other rice... Was actaully kinda kool along w/ that old el comino looking thing that bubba drift was riding it... But what I dont understang is their pumping out like 450+ whp and are still slower than the other cars around the track... Why is that????

because drifting is not about speed so much..its not a timed event..its about getting alot of "angle".. generating alot of smoke.. keeping the car in a deliberate "uncontrolled" state as much as possible and putting on a show.
Its like figure skating for cars.
