I just bought a 1993 3000gt VR-4 and I have to get a blow off valve, boost controller, and turbo timer put on and I am also planning on upgrading my turbos and fuel system. Does anyone know where a good shop is located in the Pinellas or Hilsborough area. Also I need to rebuild the engine does anyone know a good machine shop?

blow off, BC and TT you hsould be able to do yourself man.. or at least have someone else help you do it.

if anything the BOV should unscrew, and rescrew back on. scewing is easy. we do it all the time.

 

lol...i use jack's machine shop on nebraska and fletcher. he's a smaller shop but does grade a work. his turnaroung time is awesome. he remachined a head for me in two and a half days and bored, hot tanked, dissassembled and reassembled my block in two days. their number is 813-979-0088

 

if you visit 3si there might be a guy named "wickeddrew" still hanging around. not sure if he works on vr4's, but he worked on my turbo SL. frank at xtremeboost (orlando) works on em too. but for the closest one, i would have to second turbo toys. my friend marshall got a vr4 from them and it's hella fast. but in my opinion, the 3kgt was too expensive to maintain and get worked on. just changing out the spark plugs and wires were a pain!
