Just looking for a ballpark dollar figure for how much these will go for at a junkyard. Also, what would I be paying for a good rebuild and port job?

I want valves and springs included, rebuildable condition. BTW, whats the max port size I can get on the stock valves?

I wouldn't want old springs and valves if it's been sitting
valve stuck open + piston upstroke = $$$$$

I would imagine they would thoroughly clean and inspect both the valves and springs in the process of a head rebuild, leaving little chance they would still stick. I'll probably have them replaced anyway depending on what kind of port size is available and what kind of cam I get but I was mostly looking for pricing for now. If I can get a set for around $200, then thats not too shabby. What kind of availability do you guys think there will be on an item like this?

For availability check local junk yards, and ebay. As far as a rebuild goes, the heads will need to be: cleaned, dissambled, valves checked, valve job, resurfaced, assembled, springs checked and shimmed for correct spring spressure. You will have to buy aftermarket springs if you run an aftermarket cam with more duration/lift. Expect to pay about $250-350 for machine shop fees depending on what you get done and where you go. Springs are about $100-150 extra. Valves cost $10-15 each extra. I'd say 2.00 or 2.02 valve are the bigger valves you can fit on those without having to install larger seats. Installing larger valve guides is about $15-20 per valve. Installing larger valve seats for bigger valves is usually $15-20 per valve.

Ebay only has 1 set of these heads right now going and its for $395 starting bid. I guess theres a reason no one has bid yet. Thanks for the other info. Its exactly what I was looking for.
