This is for those of you who are not familiar with having a turbo car, it is NOT the same as having a NA. You have to take care of the turbo to make it last, believe me, I went through a couple of turbos because I didn't know what I was doing.

Change the oil at least every 3,000 miles, or more frequently if you wish.
Do not use cleaning additives for it may loosen particles in any used engine.
Always let the engine warm up when starting. 30-60 seconds in warmer weather and longer as the temperature drops.
COLD, THICK OIL DOES NOT FLOW AS FREELY AS WARM OIL!
Do not rev engine during warm up time, the turbo may not yet have received a full supply of oil.
Always let the engine idle for a period when stopping. The faster you have driven, the longer you should let it idle down.
When oil is changed, always prime the filter and crank over engine without starting until oil pressure is observed.

I went through 3 turbos because I had thick oil and never let the car warm up so the oil thins out before getting on it....

run lower boost on a better turbo. Thats how you make it last. Most turbos basically wear out cause we beat the shit out of them.

Although, I got 36k miles out of my upgraded CT26, I changed the oil every 2500 miles with Mobile 1 Synthetic.

eh, i dont think it matters that much, i see too many times where peopel get overly religius with there turbo timer. like its set for 2 mins, and they roll thought a parking lot for 5 mins looking for a space and still think they need that 2 min timer running.
it only takes a few seconds to cool that baring down after a hard boost run. not 2+ mins.

mark is right, most people will push a cheap setup to its limits before just spending the money on a good setup that will make more power with less stress.
