This is what a seriously blown up VG looks like....
We are building a truly high hp VG30DETT for a customer. The car just came to us from the Atlanta area where it was built by another shop. The customer had it 3 days and it blew up on a dyno at 679whp.... Here are some of the pics of what we found when we took it apart.......
Enjoy...... http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...87031252_n.jpg http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...39734298_n.jpg http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...00612422_n.jpg http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...71032076_n.jpg http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...66279572_n.jpg http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...12313693_n.jpg WOW! That thing came apart, BIG TIME! We are going to build it where that won't happen again. We are using a Cima VG30DET bottom end. We are going to install better rods and go bigger L19 head studs. We are hoping for 750whp. Stay tuned for more pics... I will post as the build continues... We are also going to use a VQ35 6-spd gearbox. We are making an adapter right now. Should be a really cool build. |
